Job Vacancy: Administation Assistant

About the charity

APS Support UK is a national charity that aims to save and improve the lives of patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) by achieving earlier diagnosis and the best possible treatment.

APS is a life-threatening autoimmune condition that causes the blood to clot too quickly; clotting can affect any organ in the body, and this can potentially cause fatal strokes, heart attacks and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is the most significant treatable cause of recurrent miscarriage and can increase the chance of stillbirth by three to five times; it is also associated with other pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia, low weight babies and premature births.

APS Support UK is dedicated to supporting anyone affected by antiphospholipid syndrome and we achieve our mission though three core objectives:

  • raising awareness of APS in the medical community
  • offering support and understanding to anyone affected by APS
  • supporting research into APS
