Research

Our progress so far

One of our key aims is to support research into antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and we have committed over £599,793 to-date, to funding research we believe will have a real impact on the APS community.

We do not receive funding from the government or other public bodies, and rely purely on public donations - needless to say, we need your support to continue this work.

Research grants

In order to continue supporting research into APS, our charity launched a small grants fund in 2019.

In 2025, applications were up to a maximum of £20,000 depending on the project and we received the most applications since we started the APS Research Fund in 2019. We are hoping to the do the same in 2026 and the details of the next funding round will be posted shortly.

We are determined to increase survival rates and reduce the effects that antiphospholipid syndrome can have on quality of life.

When the funding round is open, to apply for a grant, please continue to our Research grants page.

If you wish to donate specifically for research, please click here and your donation will be restricted for research purposes only.
