Collect your change for our charity
We all know the saying “if you look after the pennies, the pounds will look after themselves”, but did you know there are two simple ways you can help our charity benefit from small change?
Save your spare change at home and work
You may be surprised at how much money you can find lying around your house or workplace, as many of us tend to throw loose change into a drawer or tin and tend to forget about it. You could help this change make a difference to our charity by collecting it in one of our collection tins and sending us the money when it’s full either by cheque or BACS transfer.
If you put your collection tin in a visible place at home or work, such as your hallway or desk, you’ll be amazed at how quickly your small change soon adds up. So why not order your very own collection tin to help us raise the money we need to continue our vital work. Every penny really does count!
Be a collection tin co-ordinator
If you have very little spare time but would still like to support our charity, you could help by leaving collection tins with local businesses such as coffee shops, chemists, bakeries, newsagents, pubs and hairdressers.
The role of a collection tin co-ordinator includes picking up the tins when they are full, counting and sending the money t our charity (either by cheque or BACS), then putting the empty tins back in their place. We will also send you some information leaflets to help increase awareness and understand of APS if people should enquire.
On average a collection tin contains around £20, so you really can help make a difference to us.
